A doula is a trained professional who provides non-medical, continuous physical, emotional and educational support, nurturing both the birthing person and their partner.

This care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum helps families achieve a healthy, memorable, and satisfying birth experience.

I am passionate about providing non-judgmental, loving support, physical, emotional and informational, as well as birth advocacy. This is your birth and I am here to support and guide you as you welcome your new baby and grow as a family.

Why Hire a Doula? We are more than just hip squeezes.

During prenatal visits we talk about your hopes and dreams for your birth, and I give you the education and information you need to feel prepared. During labor, the goal is to let go of your thinking brain and tap into your intuitive side. You and your body innately know how to birth. Having a doula there allows you to do exactly that. If questions arise, I can answer them and remind you of your options. I never make decisions for you, but I am right beside you every step of the way.

Supporting your partner

I don't take the place of your partner during birth, I help them care for you in the best way possible. Sometimes that means physical support, sometimes emotional, sometimes coaching your partner to do all of it. I also help facilitate communication between your medical providers and your family. I don't speak on your behalf, but I will remind you of your birth wishes so you can communicate them to your care team as the process unfolds.

Research shows that doulas improve births.
